"Schrader with three bests.

At the Krefeld district championships in St. Michael Schrader Tönis tested on the short hurdles, high jump and discus throw as his performance level is. Conclusion The three best performances: The form is good.

Michael Schrader has a long ordeal behind him: his last decathlon, he has completed the end of August 2010 with his victory at the German Championships in Potsdam in 2011 and played absolutely no competition. It was not until early April for the first time he has again been put on spikes and on 1 May in his first competition Kaarst denied 100 meters in 10.85 seconds and 7.19 meters in long jump was a good start. Now in Leverkusen, he showed three best performances - 14.09 seconds over 110 meters hurdles, his first jump over 2 meters in the high jump and 45.60 meters in the discus throw - that is with him soon expected back in the decathlon."

What a comeback including PBs in 100m, Shotput, Highhurdles and Discus. Wheather conditions decreased thereafter, but he managed to finish with 8427 pts = Leading the world 2013.
Congrats to Michael Schrader!

The decathlon in Ulm has been a potential qualifier for moscow. This might make the other germans (Behrenbruch, Freimuth, Knobel) think twice, whether it makes sense to finish Götzis if 8427 aren't in reach, since the complicated german qualifying system warrants 2 starting spots to the #1 and #2 finisher of Ratingen (in case they finish above 8300)
--> In theory: a decathlete who finishes 2nd place in Ratingen with 8300 would qualify, while another, who finishes with 8426 in Götzis wouldn't ...

Schrader in moscow has showcased again that he's the ultimate competitor. If healthy he does not lose concentration over the course of a decathlon.
Health will however remain a problem. I hope that his body allows him to compete in Rio 2016.

His cumulated PB do make 8896 pts (not 8895)
