Women's decathlon

Could we remove this section above please "The schedule of events differs from the men's decathlon, with the field events switched between day one and day two; this is to avoid scheduling conflicts when men's and women's decathlon competitions take place simultaneously."
Recent female decathlon performances have followed the correct order of events. The rationale mentioned is dated and would not survive equality assessment if written now. It may still be in the original documentation, but is now generally considered to be an outdated, discriminatory framing. Women do decathlon in the correct order, as evidenced by the marks recognised by WA and other federations this year.

If you think the scores are miscalculated it would be very helpful if you could liaise with the organisers to discuss. The Women’s Decathlon Association and the related meets have a rich database of marks, and I’m sure they would prefer to be working from the same information.

Thank you for posting. The women who have organised this competition also organised the US women's decathlon championships last year in Mt SAC. That included scores of 6709 by Katie Straus, 6445 by Jordyn Bruce, 6397 by Haley Rizek.
